Let it be known that upon the 15th day of September a tournament will be held at Craigmillar castle in Edinburgh for any who wish to enter and do honer for themselves and those who inspire them. As well as a tournament you are also invited to come and enjoy a variety of crafts and merriments in the cordial surrounds of the castle.
Now in plain English!
On those Saturdays listed above we have made arrangements to use Craigmillar castle, Edinburgh, for a tournament and as a venue that we can gather in and entertain ourselves in a period fashion as we see fit between the hours of 10 am and 3:45pm (we have to be out by 4pm). You are welcome to attend and fight or indulge in crafts and activities befitting to the surroundings, if you wish to bring or do something can you please contact me so that I can ensure that what you wish to do is acceptable and within the parameters set by Historic Scotland for the use of the castle. If you attend please wear garb and please bring whatever sustenance you require for during the day, it's a nice place for a picnic. The events will include a short break to hold our shire meeting.
N.B. the castle has a very small car park, please car pool as much as is possible, we may need to move cars on the day depending upon numbers.
Cost: entry to Craigmillar castle (about £2.60), whatever you travel costs are and that's it!
